Mustangs bring home Golden Herald recognition

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – LRHS seniors Carly Patterson and Yosa Whitney were awarded Golden Herald Awards Thursday night at the 39th annual Golden Herald award ceremony. The Golden Herald program began in 1978 by the Bradenton Herald to honor Manatee County high school seniors for their service to their school and community.

LRHS baseball and softball help bring sports to special kids

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL)- The LRHS varsity baseball and softball teams attended Manasota’s annual Miracle League event in which disabled people of all ages are given the opportunity to play baseball and experience the success that comes with it. The event was held at Longwood Run Park in Sarasota on April 16.

Mustang softball takes district title

(LAKEWOOD RANCH, FL) – The LRHS girls varsity softball team played won the district championships yesterday against Sarasota High School. The Mustangs defeated the Sailors 16-1. “We went out with a vision to win the district championship and never let up on the pressure we put on the other team. Overall, the girls did awesome,” said LRHS softball coach Maggie Feix.
